  • Designed by General George S. Patton when he was a first lieutenant colonel
  • Last Saber issued to and used by the U.S. Cavalry
  • Designed as a thrusting weapon while on horseback
  • Scabbard made of hickory wood treated with olive oil and white lead.  It was covered with rawhide and then with waterproofed olive drab canvas woven into a circular pattern to avoid a seam
  • Blade made of forged steel and 38" in overall length
  • U.S. over 7202 on base of blade
  • S A with flaming cannon ball over 1913 on base of blade other side
  • Outstanding condition
