- Back action percussion lock
- Lockplate and breech says "Deringer Philadel"
- Dressed in German nickel silver barrel bands, front sight, trigger guard, side plate, flash plate, wedge escutcheons, shield escutcheon on back of handle, and tear shaped cap on bottom of butt
- Crown muzzle
- Patent breech has semi octagon shape
- Finish on barrel is simulated damascus (browned with copper streaking)
- Case hardened lock
- Checkered and varnished stock
- Left side of breech has a P encircled by a sunburst motif
- Single set trigger
- No serial number
