- Matthew Goggin was the gun maker and armorer to the General Post Office in Dublin Ireland and was commissioned to make Blunderbus' and flintlock pistols from 1811-1822
- D-C 3542 on top of barrel
- crack near wedge area on right side of stock which is usual for a pistol from this period. Wood is in otherwise excellent overall condition
