WWII U.S. Navy Mark 1 Dummy Training Rifle Bayonet & Scabbard
- Bayonet design was reverse engineered from the M1905 bayonet
- Made entirely of sheet steel and hard black Bakelite plastic
- Bayonet has been broken with remaining piece shaped
- 9 3/4" blade length to hilt
- Blade Ricasso is marked "U.S.N. Mark 1" and on reverse "B.M.Co. NORD - 3066" with logo
- NORD number represents the Navy contract number associated with bayonet production
- Early in the war with the low NORD number
- Flaming bomb US stamp on scabbard
- Nice example of a rare piece
